We’d like to let you know that MRMF will be taking a break in 2026. This is not a decision taken lightly by the organising committee, as we know how much this little festival gives our community here in the Macedon Ranges, as well as to a very special community in Cambodia. 

 

While there are a number of reasons behind this decision, it feels like the perfect time for MRMF to take a nice, deep breath.

 

The 13 year-old life of MRMF has been an incredible journey. Together, we’ve raised over $170,000 for the Cambodian Kids Foundation, showcased hundreds of local and emerging musicians, and created a space for smiling, dancing, and connecting.

 

Not bad for something that started with a few friends in a backyard.

 

For now, we don’t know what 2027 and beyond looks like for MRMF. We won’t make any promises we can’t keep but we also won’t rule anything out. We’ll share more news about the future when the time is right.
